Sick Visits
We strive to see your child as close to your appointment time as possible. For this reason, we only have same day appointments and do not have a walk-in clinic. It is our feeling that you and your sick child will be more comfortable waiting at home. This also helps protect all children in the waiting room from being exposed to multiple sick children that are waiting to be seen. Please call our office as early in the day as possible so that we can better care for your child and minimize your wait.
Every attempt is made to schedule sick appointments with your primary doctor, however, if your doctor is unavailable, your child may be scheduled with one of our other physicians or nurse practitioner.
Please call us if you think your child has an urgent medical issue such as respiratory distress. A nurse will assist you and if it is necessary, we will work your child in with the first available physician. We discourage you from walking in without calling ahead. If you walk into our office with a non-emergent medical condition, you may be asked to return later in the day or wait for the next available physician.
If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make your appointment. Without an appointment, we may not be able to see a sick sibling right away, and you may be asked to wait while the provider sees already scheduled patients.
