I knew at an early age that medicine was the career for me as I watched my mother in her medical practice. When I was older I had the opportunity to spend time with my pediatrician in her office.  Through observing her, I was inspired by the team approach she used to develop lasting relationships with her patients and to make a positive difference in their lives. At Shawnee Mission Pediatrics, we pride ourselves on the same team approach. It is an honor and privilege to partner with families to provide the best health care for their children. What a humbling and joyful experience to care for a child from birth to young adult!

I attended the University of Kansas for my undergraduate and medical school education. I completed my pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and our family of seven (4 children and 3 dogs), traveling, and participating in Run Disney and local road races.
